Alicia Samp, PsyD

Postdoctoral Fellow 2024-2025

Dr. Alicia Samp is a postdoctoral fellow at the UCSF Center for Advancing Dyadic Care in Pediatrics. Dr. Samp is passionate about partnering with caregivers to provide early detection, intervention, and prevention, with the goal of utilizing family and community strengths to improve childhood developmental and mental health outcomes.

Dr. Samp received her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Wright Institute, and she completed her predoctoral internship in evidence-based childhood trauma assessment and treatment at the UC Davis Children's Hospital's CAARE Center. In addition, she received training in the diagnosis of neurodevelopmental conditions at the Autism Center of Northern California. Dr. Samp also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the University of Michigan, and as a former licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA), she held roles within multinational organizations in which she collaborated across disciplines to develop and implement systemic improvements. She is interested in using her combined skill set to enhance mental health care systems, with a particular focus on increasing access to trauma-informed, culturally-responsive care in underserved communities.
