Adriana Ruiz, MA, is a graduate research assistant for the UCSF Center for Advancing Dyadic Care in Pediatrics. Adriana is pursuing her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Palo Alto University with an emphasis on pediatric behavioral health and trauma. Her clinical experience and training have focused on providing bilingual early intervention services to neurodiverse and developmentally delayed children and providing psychoeducation and training for parents who have a child with developmental and mental health challenges. At Palo Alto University, Adriana is actively involved in research on perinatal mental health and technology-based intervention for perinatal individuals. Adriana is passionate about supporting the relationship between children and their parents and helping Spanish-speaking families access culturally appropriate services while reducing the stigma and barriers associated with mental health.
